Tony and Emmy Award Winner Hal Linden and a cast of young actors in Tuesdays with Morrie at the Indian Wells Theatre. The season opener of the California State University San Bernardino/Palm Desert Campus's first Equity season in 2009, directed by David Catanzarite.
Green Room Theatre Conservatory is now accepting applications for 60 participants ages 8 to 12, 13 to 17, and 18 to 24. We offer scholarships and internships to more than 50% of participants.
The Conservatory utilizes state-of-the-art classrooms and luxurious theatre facilities at the Indian Wells Theatre on California State University San Bernardino's Palm Desert Campus. [GRTC is not officially affiliated with CSUSB/PDC] The program offers more than 140 hours of instruction with a low 9-to-1 student/teacher ratio so that students can get individual attention from top professional teachers. Rehearsals include daily hands-on workshops in musical theatre; acting theory; stage combat; voice and diction; stage dialects; technical theatre, and the business of theatre. The session culminates with a fully mounted musical production to sold-out crowds in our air-conditioned, 440 seat theatre.
This is a career pathway program for serious young artists. We provide a supportive, arts-rich learning environment for young artists, and provide teaching internships and summer jobs for advanced students in performance and technical theatre.
